World Book Online Database:
  • For this project, you will use the World Book database to find your information.
  • You access this through the link for World Book Online
  • You will need a login and password for this database. You can find the listing of the logins/passwords here.

Need help using and citing World Book Online? Check out these step-by-step instructions.
Citing from World Book Online Database:

  • Your article is cited for you. You just need to put it in Noodletools so it will become part of your Works Cited later.
  • Just go to the bottom of your article and find the citations.
  • Copy the citation for MLA style
  • In Noodletools, choose +Create new citation. Choose Database > Original content in database
  • Then choose the blue link called copy and paste citation.
  • Paste in your copied citation from World Book Online and click save.

Website:
  • In addition to using the database, you must use one website for this project
  • This website will help you answer the information for your project on where to buy your product in New Jersey

1. Jersey Fresh Pick Your Own Produce
  • Click the blue "Find Jersey Fresh" button
  • Type in your location as Columbus, NJ (it will probably populate with Columbus, Mansfield - that's fine)
  • Set your distance range to 50 miles
  • For "Places to Visit" make sure "All Places" is checked
  • Then, pick your research item by finding it in the appropriate drop-down list
Need help citing a website in Noodletools? Check out these directions.

Piktochart:
For this project, you will be compiling your research into a Piktochart! Piktochart is a fun website that allows you to create easy infographics. Let's learn how to create one!
  • Use this Piktochart Google Doc to help you sign up and begin!

Exporting Your Citations From Noodletools
  1. Ensure you have cited ALL sources you plan on citing and that they are cited properly.
  2. Choose Print/Export and then Print/Export to Google Docs
  3. Your work cited document should open automatically (named "Sources for [Noodletools Project Name]") DO NOT adjust anything. The formatting is correct.
  4. Then, add your works cited doc to the assignment in classroom by clicking Add > Google Drive. Attach your works cited document.

Make sure to provide in Classroom the link for your presentation!
  1. Find the assignment in Classroom
  2. Under Your Work, click "Add" > "Link"
  3. Paste in your link - ENSURE THAT YOUR LINK IS VIEWABLE BY EVERYONE, NOT JUST YOU!
